Ministry of Healing - a "must read"

Another beautiful productive day! The morning began with vigorous exercise...did you know that it benefits your brain to exercise before eating one morsel of food? But if you eat beforehand it does not. And that we should walk in sunshine, and not shade, to get our seratonin levels up! So important. Are you aware of when the absolute best hours of sleep occur? ...each hour slept before midnight counts as two slept before the clock strikes twelve! Did you know that most lifestyle diseases are halted, even reversed, by simple measures given to us from God? God did not intend for health to be expensive. Our loving Creator has provided us with these answers. We are reading through the infinite wisdoms compiled in "The Ministry of Healing" by Ellen G. White. It astounds me that I have not read and applied more of these health principles, natural remedies, and comforting spiritual thoughts into my life before now. I am so grateful to be filling my mind with these encouragements and personal development tools found in these chapters. This blessed hope just makes you want to share the Good News with everyone! Click to Read this book online for free or Listen to the audiobook version. Ministry of Healing is described this way, "Health and happiness go hand in hand. Never has it been more important to understand the physical and spiritual laws of health than today when stress, mental illness, heart disease, AIDS, and cancer are ravaging our society. Is there a better way to live? Does God and nature itself possess the secrets to long life and peace of mind? This book is a classic work that spells out God's plan for the health and happiness of the human family. Here you will find inspired counsel on everything from diet and exercise to building happy homes and an eternal relationship with the Creator." I will be giving a worship talk on chapter 17 "The Use of Remedies" and the information I am discovering is so exciting! I will be sharing more with you regarding natural remedies in upcoming posts...but it is 9:00pm (time for bed) so I will close with the most illuminating heart-warming passage from this evening's read: Ministry of Healing, Ch. 18, pg. 248

Those who surrender their lives to His guidance and to His service will never be placed in a position for which He has not made provision. Whatever our situation, if we are doers of His word, we have a Guide to direct our way; whatever our perplexity, we have a sure Counselor; whatever our sorrow, bereavement, or loneliness, we have a sympathizing Friend.

If in our ignorance we make missteps, the Saviour does not forsake us. We need never feel that we are alone. Angels are our companions. The Comforter that Christ promised to send in His name abides with us. In the way that leads to the City of God there are no difficulties which those who trust in Him may not overcome. There are no dangers which they may not escape. There is not a sorrow, not a grievance, not a human weakness, for which He has not provided a remedy.

None need abandon themselves to discouragement and despair. Satan may come to you with the cruel suggestion, “Yours is a hopeless case. You are irredeemable.” But there is hope for you in Christ. God does not bid us overcome in our own strength. He asks us to come close to His side. Whatever difficulties we labor under, which weigh down soul and body, He waits to make us free.
